During a tenancy
Recurring cleaning can be discussed when the occupant’s participation, access, and responsibilities are clear. A landlord’s inquiry does not replace arrangements with the resident.
One home or a small portfolio.
Share each property’s location, size, current condition, and timing. Properties with different floor plans or cleaning needs may require different scopes. A portfolio inquiry helps organize the work; it does not automatically reserve a schedule.
What should a landlord include?
- Property type, approximate square footage, bedrooms, and bathrooms.
- Whether the property is occupied, vacant, or furnished.
- Maintenance completion and the target handover or showing date.
- Cleaning priorities, floor types, and any unusual conditions.
- Who will provide access and review the agreed work.
Cleaning and repairs are separate responsibilities.
Describe damage, abandoned items, or heavy debris before discussing service. Repairs, hauling, pest treatment, mold remediation, and specialized floor restoration should not be assumed to be part of a cleaning quote.
